What is it called when you get a manicure with just gel or powder and no tips?

The one with the powder is called a Diamond Set. The gel is one a gel set. The Diamond set is mainly for people that are allergic to acrylic. They put a tip on but dip it in powder to set it in instead of acrylic. I've done it and actually liked it b/c it didn't make me feel like I didn't have fake nails on, it was very light. This tends to cost more than regular french tips b/c it's more time consuming. The gel set is going to cost around the same as a regular french manicure give or take a few dollars. There is no such thing as a permanent french manicure. If you left tips on your nails for too long, it could grow bacteria or fungus underneath the fake nail onto your real nail. If you dont want tips, you can grow your nails out some and let them paint your real tips white, just like your toes are done.
