How to give myself a manicure?

Like, I want nice looking nails and hands, but please, don't even mention about going to the nail salon. Don't want to waste money. But is there anyway that I could get shiny, shaped, and sleek nails and soft beautiful hands at home? It will be nice if you gave me a set of instructions on how to do a manicure and tips would be great too! Well, here's what you'll need to get started:





~container to soak hands in


~4-sided nail buffer


~cuticle remover gel


~nail file


~nail cutter


~either a hand scrub or you can just use sugar and water


~hand lotion (ones with paraffin work reallyy well)


~clear nail polish (and whatever color nail polish, if you'd like)





All of these items can be purchased in a kit by True Blue Spa at Bath and Body works for around 15 dollars. it lasts a long time too!





Have a small towel on hand as well.


1. Take the container and fill it with warm water soak your hand in it for about 2-3 minutes. This will soften cuticles. Pat your hands dry.


2. Take the cuticle gel and cover your cuticles. Wait about 20 seconds before pushing the cuticles back into place. wipe off excess gel.


3. Take scrub and apply all over hands, concentrating on nail beds. Massage hands by rubbing palms and pulling fingers. Wash off after about one minute.


4. Cut and shape your nails to your preferred length. Then, Take nail buffer and use the different sides in order to make nails shine!


5. Take the hand lotion and massage into hands until it's absorbed.


6. Finish off with nail polish and top coat!

idk if they sell mani sets but i kno they sell pedi sets


anyways, just file your nails and shape them so they look pretty


then apply lotion so your nails are soft and smell yummyyyy;]


last, paint your nails a pretty color or maybe even a french mani


if you'd like, the glue on fake nails are pretty cool too so maybe try them
