manicure: How does one act say and do when one goes in for a manicure?

I have no clue what to do... I'm afraid of acting awkward.How does one act say and do when one goes in for a manicure?
Say ';I'd like a manicure.'; and sit in the directed seat and chat up the manicurist...never know what good stories or gossip you'll hear!
